Through decades of an ever-changing publishing industry, one thing will never change—the prize winning printed words and illustrations in our annual L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future anthology.

The latest edition, Volume 31, was released at the annual awards celebration and covered on the Writers of the Future blog page.

Last year, starting with Volume 30, we changed to a large trade paperback format and included bonus stories by the Contest judges and the winning illustrations in color.

We repeated the winning formula for Volume 31, this year including bonus stories from three of our bestselling and award-winning judges: Larry Niven, Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta, along with a classic tale by L. Ron Hubbard.

Following the aims of the Contest to inspire and educate new talent, there are articles by two judges—“Fiction Without Paper” by Orson Scott Card and —“The Illustrators of the Future” and “On the Direction of Art” by Bob Eggleton.
